Statement |
The Florida
Foreign Trade Association (FFTA) is a nonprofit trade organization
incorporated in July 1985. The organization represents the most
diverse group of individuals and companies in the foreign trade
market.
FFTA provides
a forum where information and concepts are freely exchanged.
The mission
of FFTA is to serve the international business community by facilitating
global exchange through trade missions, networking, education,
and innovative trade development programs. FFTA connects Florida
with the rest of the world by organizing trade missions outbound
and inbound for U.S. businesses to locate, explore opportunities,
and interact with peers and foreign buyers/sellers. FFTA also
organizes export seminars, exhibits, tradeshows, and networking
activities. |

Florida Businesses with Buyers from Dominican Republic
The 2005 passage of the Free Trade
Agreement DR-CAFTA provides significant opportunities for U.S. exporters, investors,
franchising companies, importers and many others including service companies. The DR-CAFTA
immediately eliminates trade tariffs on U.S. exports and DR imports. SMEs (small and
medium size enterprises) as well as large size companies in the USA and DR will have the
advantage of developing new business opportunities.
FFTA and its partners aimed at developing
bilateral trade between US companies and prospective business partners in selected markets
through a program called TRADE-USA which promotes American products
and/or services as well as increases the international trade between USA and their
countries through Inbound Trade Missions.
The Program emphasizes US exports although it includes opportunity for
two-way trade relationships.
