Mission Statement

The Florida Foreign Trade Association (FFTA) is a nonprofit trade organization incorporated in July 1985. The organization represents the most diverse group of individuals and companies in the foreign trade market.

FFTA provides a forum where information and concepts are freely exchanged.

The mission of FFTA is to serve the international business community by facilitating global exchange through trade missions, networking, education, and innovative trade development programs. FFTA connects Florida with the rest of the world by organizing trade missions outbound and inbound for U.S. businesses to locate, explore opportunities, and interact with peers and foreign buyers/sellers. FFTA also organizes export seminars, exhibits, tradeshows, and networking activities.

  • This course provides an overview of the latest techniques and examines issues surrounding information security management systems (ISMS).
  • An ISMS based on the international standard ISO 27001 will help you to implement an effective framework to establish, manage and continually improve the security of your information.

Instructor: Mr. Rene Bueno joined BTS Consulting in December 2004 as a Quality Management System Expert, RAB QMS Auditor and ISO 13485 consultant. He has served as a Quality Manager for several years. Mr. Bueno specializes in logistic and international trade. Prior to BTS, Mr. Bueno gained valuable experience by working full-time as a Regional Quality Manager for the Americas with Bureau Veritas BIVAC North America; his specialty was performing compliance audits and international trade technical advice. In 1995, Mr. Bueno successfully directed Bureau Veritas BIVAC Ecuador to ISO 9001 registration that encompassed 5 regional offices under one centralized quality system. Since 2002, he assisted several countries with their improvement programs.

As a Regional Quality Manager for an international inspections company for over fourteen years, Mr. Bueno gained experience working with exporters, forwarder and transportation companies. During this time, he helped training government authorities in South America. At the academic level, he was invited by universities to lecture on ISO 9000 and International Trade. Mr. Bueno has a Post Grade in International Trade from the Catholic University of La Paz Bolivia.
